... he told me later, the reason he was thinking of a MBP was FCP...

Turns out he didn't get the stipend, dang... money is tight, and with the economy the way it is, will be hard-going to do screenwriting or film production... wonder if there's some way we could get him a MBP on the cheap...

I was actually thinking he could apply for a small grant or stipend from somewhere, I'm just not sure where. He tells me that the NEA has very little in the way of funds for this kind of thing.

If your nephew gets his unwarranted MBP, my deserving grandson could use a bump from the iBook I found for him last Christmas. Maybe from the overflow you are experiencing?

He's 13 and we're hoping it will keep his focus on something other than girls. OK forget that. Maybe he'll come back to the Mac at some point.
