He's must be a Spurs fan. I watched the game and the Spurs went to the line many more times than the Lakers. Except for that non-call on Barry by Fisher, the Spurs just lost. Duncan was cold that night.

After a bunch of decades watching NBA ball, one thing I've learned is that you can take just about any game and put togeter a "highligh reel" of missed calls, make-up calls, lazy officiating, outright bad officiating, "let'em play" non-calls and on and on to make a case that whichever side you'd like to choose got "screwed" by the officials. And I've seen very few cases where the guy making the case didn't turn a blind eye to the calls that proved that the other team didn't really fare all that much better.
A conspiracy by the league? I can't see that ever happening. All it would take is (pardon the expression) one whistleblower to even *hint* at "suggestions" or pressure from the league or anyone even remotely tied to the league and the party would be over.
The press would be all over a story like that like ants on sugar and it would make the steroid scandal look like 'dog bites man'. There's just too much money on the table when it comes to a sport's reputation for being basically on the up and up for the league to start playing silly games with the officials.

If you watched the game, the refs blew the call right before that play where Fisher bumped Barry.
Fisher shot the ball short and it grazed the front of the rim before it came down and was fumbled out of bounds by a Spur. The shot clock should have reset meaning that the Spurs would have had to foul to get the ball back after giving the Lakers 2 foul shots.
Maybe it was a make up call? The refs are humans. The players are humans. If one team were that much better than another, it shouldn't come down to one play or one game.
I do think the NBA wants to see a Lakers/Celtics match up.

I don't think the NBA "put the fix in" on this game. The replay clearly shows Referee Joe Crawford looking directly at the foul, then turning around. Anybody know why Joe Crawford would do something like that?

I've always supported the use of Time Machines in situations like that.
In each one - the play can be remedied by kicking both players (when the play is frozen in time) with a good, solid, steel-tipped shoe, straight into the 'nads.
Then you transport back into real time, and watch the play. Not only is there no foul, but the NBA just gets that much more interesting.
"Roundball" will no longer be its nickname. Crushball will be. It's a $$ maker!
AND YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!
