A Trick to extending toner yield 33-50%

I tried this tip to extend the toner cartridge life in my Brother 5250DN. It worked for me too. I'm glad I didn't toss away my apparent empty TN580 toner cartridge. These printer manufacturers are really getting clever.

Of course the comment indicates this is some sort of evil scheme by the printer manufacturer. Personally I think it's just crappy design.

Umm nope.

Epson for one engineered these false readings in, took a court case and consent agreement to get them to end it. I got $75 plus a few worthless store credits from it.

It's good for any Brother printer than uses a TN580 toner cart. Can't say if it works on any other manufacturer.

only for those that use the laser method.

anyone wanting more info go to cartridge world or similar near you. they do ink and toner. the toner guy can tell you which carts use which technology.
