I think that its a fair deal, and mikebw is correct. I have a 2407FPW and a E248FPW that both run at 1920x1200. These "S" series panels, with the HDCP HDMI compliant connections, seem to be addressing the 'new' way by which media consumers view content. This is currently the way I am viewing content, since I'm not in too big of a hurry to get a new HDTV, after my CRT Triniton died two years ago.
To compare, I bought the E248WFP back in August for $290 online from Best Buy with free shipping. It also has the HDCP HDMI connection.
