Going to Kodak's plant in Rochester is frightening. Instead of leaving the vacant buildings to rot, they just tear 'em down. It looks like the scene of one of those 'end of the world' movies. Without the mutant Zombies, thought. Everyone you meet has that deer in the headlights look.

The worst part of it is that they had a major hand in inventing digital imaging, but just did not think to capitalize on it until it was way too late.

It's completely and totally reproducible in Photoshop. Just destroy dynamic range and there you have the early Kodachrome look.
