Is there any advantage to a 6ft. 24AWG DVI cable vs. a 6ft. 28AWG version?

Assuming equivalent quality of wire used in the cables, the 24 AWG cable should have lower signal loss. Also it will be less likely to break or crack any of the wires from flexing over time.

The reason I ask is that I accidentally ordered the 24AWG vs the 28AWG from monoprice. No problems, but that 24AWG is HUGE.

Thicker wire = better signal transfer
Thinner wire = more flexibility |
