one bag on top never stays ....this is something I'll buy. Thought maybe someone else might find it handy, too.

cheaper and free shipping
Greylocks...I use bungees but these are different than carrhing 2 separate bungees

with that handy thought in mind, i'll be stopping in to my local dollar store to pick up some spare bungie cords and save myself $14.95 +shipping.

Thanks--Well worth the $15. The bungie cord solution, while it would work, sounds just a bit tacky. :-) Wasn't there a Jeff Foxworthy bit about how you might be a redneck if you use plastic Walmart bags for luggage?

You might be smart if you don't spend $100+ on a suitcase that minimum wage monkeys are going to toss on conveyer belts.

I use military cargo bags - strong canvas, brass zippers and about $20.

Want something bigger and wheeled - http://www.afmo.com/AFMO_U_T_G_Commando_...-00272.htm

While I certainly have used my share of tactical/commando bags in my life, I prefer something a little less auspicious and something that doesn't suggest that I'm visiting Beirut for something other than a little fun in the sun. Though I could use a nice bag to carry my assault rifles...

I like the bungee idea. Flying off to L.A. tomorrow so I'll have to stop by the store on the way for some bungee cord.

I've found the TravelPro line of bags to be quite durable. I've taken them with me all over Europe, America and into Africa. But lately, I've been primarily using a hardcase rollon I picked up in Tokyo last summer.

no, but you might be a redneck if you have ever had your nipple bitten off by a beaver.

Om,

Just so you know... That bag you linked to isn't actual military surplus. It's a bag that company made that is designed like a military bag.
