Question for ALL apple laptop owners

I use my pismo as my beside computer. It plays nice falling rain sounds when I lift the lid. When I close the lid, it sleeps. Open the lid, the sound plays. No need to press play or anything else.

My macbook does NOT behave like this. When I wake from sleep, the nice rain sound is now stopped and needs to be started.

I play this audio file in quicktime player. Pismo is 500mhz/1gb/10.4.8(?)

Does YOUR laptop behave like the piz or the macbook when playing an audio file in quicktime? Please include OS version.

The Pismo behaves like a Pismo, the MacBook behaves like a MacBook. The iBook....well heck, I really don't know how to answer.

I "donated" my 400MHz workhorse of a Pismo to my S/O's 11 year old niece. It's her first laptop ever. She's loving it.

My 17" MBP replaced a Pismo & TiBook. Pismo was a wonderful laptop; perhaps the best Apple has released to date.
