some of them MBP's seem to have longer snap in removable AC cords than others, thereby providing some extra length... or maybe folks toss all their snap in cords in a drawer, and a longer cord from an Airport Express gets grabbed in place of a shorter laptop cord... hey, if the cord fits; use it if need those extra inches.

but I don't think a longer power cord makes that laptop worth $1300...
