Used Buffalo LS250GL LinkStation Pro 250 GB Shared Network Storage
#1
I have been looking for a NAS drive for my wired network I just installed.

I have found a used one of these for $65

Buffalo LS250GL LinkStation Pro 250 GB Shared Network Storage

Think it is worth the risk of buying used?

The guy told me if I had trouble within the first week he would buy it back.

Anyone know if you can upgrade the drive?

Well, not a bad deal. I paid $70 for my 500GB linkstation. You might offer him less. And he should keep the promise to be able to return it.

Did you get that new for $70?

How well does it work with Mac's?

Buffalo literature is a little thin about mac support.

I called Buffalo and they said it works with Mac also. I can down load any tools I need for set up.

I posted a link to it. ecost. refurb.
It's great. In leopard it just shows up on the left panel in the finder.
In iTunes, audio files will appear as a 'shared library'. I can't figure out how to set up video files. But I don't care to, really.

It's gigabit ethernet and fast enough for me.
Search for my posts about it.
