I've got a school wide network, with 10 networked laser printers... all but one are now capable of IP printing.
I'm trying to move our printing interface AWAY from AppleTalk, so that any newer wireless access points don't have to support AppleTalk.
Other than apparently needing to know the $#*@% IP number of a printer to add it in Printer Setup Utility (at least in 10.3.9), are there any drawbacks to using IP Printing as a protocol rather than AppleTalk?
