QuickSilver G4 and LCD TV....
#1
I have the QuickSilver G4 Dual 800 MHz. I use it in as a server and control it from my MacBook Pro via Screen Sharing. The G4 sits in the garage right next to a Sharp Aquos 20" LCD TV (Standard Def). The TV has a free input (both Composite and S-Video), was thinking of hooking up the G4 video output to the TV with this device:

http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10401&cs_id=1040113&p_id=2509&seq=1&format=2

The description says to make sure that the "video card MUST be able to support s-Video or Composite out through it's VGA port. This is known as a TV out function." I noticed that the G4 has two video ports, one is VGA and the other appears to be DVI but the connector seems different (is that the earlier Apple connector, ADC? something like that?).

Anyone know if the G4 has "TV Out function"? If I can get TV Out, should I put converter on the VGA port or from the DVI port?

It probably is ADC. You would need an ADC-DVI adapter, then DVI to video adapter.

This should work-
"apple DVI to video adapter"

That adapter was meant for use with a later video card. It will not give you video out off any of the standard video cards installed in the QS G4.

The TV should have a VGA or DVI input. I drive various LCD & DLP TV's and HD projectors from my 1.33 G4 Powerbook
