Now I've gone & spent $40 on more gizmo clutter ::o

I had actually been looking for a way to remotely control the AC adapters for my external FW drives. I think the 'Remote Controlled Switch Socket - 3-Pack'($13.99) http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=1275 will do it.
