can you have two users with different libraries in iTunes?
#1
Hi,

My grandson wants to use my wife's computer (a PC) to load up his iTunes files. She already is using iTunes and has her own account set up.

Can he just make a separate account and load his stuff up, then sync when he needs to, WITHOUT messing up her iTunes account?

I'm pretty new at this and have never had to deal with it on my MBP.

Thanks for any help.

yeah. The harder trick is having 1 library for 2 or more users.

No problem. My wife has an account on my macbook, from when she was having problems with her macbook. She has her own iTunes library and I have mine.

i really like PowerTunes from fat cat software
(makers of IPhoto Library Manager)

i have 2 accounts (admin and user) which share an iTunes library
(both also use the same iTunes account for the music store)
without a hitch. PT can even update either user if one account
added songs which the other account did not have.

its a sweet program.. worth the cost vs. trying to script/figure/manage
songs on your own.
