I finally installed the 10.6.1 on a Dell Mini 10v last night, and then I opened PhotoBooth on Dell and also on the MacBook. The image quality on the MacBook was much better, more dynamic range, much less noise. I'll try to take some screen shots later tonight to post. I am curious how a FireWire iSight looks like, I have one and I can hook it up to the MacBook later tonight to compare all 3.

How did you end up installing 10.6.1?

I took the HD out of the Mini and put it inside the MacBook, installed 10.6 and all the updates (10.6.1, I think iTunes and there was something else I don't remember) and then I downloaded NetBookMaker and NetBookInstaller (both 0.8.3RC3)
I run NetBookMaker and shut down (you should NEVER restart the Mac at this point). I put the HD back in the Mini, booted up and everything seemed to work fine except there was no sound.
Run the NetBookInstall and I got a kernel panic, run it again and this time it run fine, rebooted, repaired permissions, and everything seems to work fine, including Sound after Sleep which many people say it does not work.
Except the screen is smaller and the Web Camera is of lower quality, I cannot tell anything else is different from a real Mac. Even battery count works, model number is also reported, heck, even the SN of the machine shows up in the system profiler.
I am now installing Skype and a few other utilities and I'll send it to my Dad in 2 days (mother in law goes back home, so she'll take it over)

I installed 10.6 on my Dell Mini 10v by cloning the DVD to a USB stick and then NetBookInstaller modifies it so it works on the dell.
Not much harder than installing on a mac.

"Not yet Snow Leopard compatible (expected to be in a few weeks), but iGlasses helps improve the webcam image quality on any Mac..."
Thanks! This looks interesting.
