Nice to get a feel for a part of the country I've never been to; thanks.
The foliage here (eastern Massachusetts) is farther along.
The river looks canoe-able.

Don't see very many canoes on Le Belle Riviere, maybe because of the swift current. Running with the barges is not very safe either; those guys don't stop or swerve, although presumably a canoeist could.
We've noticed about a week's difference in the foliage just between Indianapolis and Louisville.
Nice pictures! What a great day to be out on the back roads!

Those pics make me miss the Queen City. Of course, I was an east-sider but lived very near the river in Columbia Tusculum. Our house bordered Columbia Parkway east of downtown.

I always forget that the Ohio goes to cities other than Pittsburgh. Looks quite a bit like home though. Must be the water.

GG: Where do you live -- Anderson Township (IIRC on the name?) area or maybe Columbia-Tusculum?
Miss my old city very much at times! I lived in Oakley and Norwood for about 8 years in the '90s. Those river drives and cruises were always spectacular. Great shots, thanks for posting! I'm in KC now and they don't have any development at all along the Mo. River here. Why not just boggles me as this used to be a major river town. Oh yeah...there are some casinos, Yay.

I live on the westside, Bridgetown area. The ferry is just below Delhi.
Funny thing is, the spot we went to on the Ky side is straight as the crow flies from my house, but you have to drive 14 miles either direction to get there!

Parts of our world are just so freakin' beautiful, ya know? Great pix. Thanks for the share.
