I'm pretty intrigued by the Moxi, and still weighing the option of a Mac mini + EyeTV media center. Anyone here played with Windows 7 Media Center? Not that I want to go to the Dark Side, just want to be well versed in all the options.
I'm really not looking forward to all the money I'm going to have to spend to go to HiDef:
- Replace 27" CRT with 32-37" 1080p LCD
- Replace 10 year-old 5.1 receiver with newer model that supports HDMI
- Buy external phono pre-amp because hardly any new receivers have built-in phono stages
- Replace DVD recorder with newer model that does upscaling
- Upgrade DirecTV service to HD, pay more per month for the privilege.
- Buy new DVR or build media center computer
Can't say I'm in a big hurry to upgrade to Blu-Ray, either.
