what's wrong with this pineapple? bottom is juicy, top is dry
#1
like the subject says, the bottom is nice and juicy, the top part is dry and appears to be a whiter color, like it's not ripe yet? how to pick a nice pineapple?

Also, I watched several youtube videos on how to cut a pineapple, but when I cut one, I have to remove a lot of stuff to get rid of all those "scales" (if you can call them that). Seems like ~1/3 or the edible mass is lost this way.

I just purchase the ones that the store has already cut and cored. So much easier, though not necessarily cheaper. Finished one just this afternoon.

Its not the Pineapple, its gravity.

......whenever you buy a pineapple....they tell you that you are suppose to......................................................................................so that it stays juicy.....
