Ancient computer: What can I do with it?
#1
Still have a Toshiba Satellite 4015 CDT from 1998. Has a Pentium II 266 with-wait for it-96MG of RAM! 4GB hard drive running Windows 98 SE.
It still runs like a champ and the battery which is original will run it for 20 minutes. Has one USB port and a CD optical drive. 12" TFT screen.
So what can I do with this other than just a glorified typewriter. I'd give it away but no one wants it. It's gotten to the point where it's just taking up space and I either toss it or take it to a recycler but I'd rather them pay me for it! Wink

If it has a serial port, you can run a machine tool with it;

Edit: Oops.. it seems they upped the system requirements since the last version I installed... "1ghz processor".
Maybe an earlier version?

What a great machine that was (all the Satellites and Tecras at the time). I remember taking my gf's with me on basketball trips to churn out my C++ and COBOL (yes) programming assignments.
