OT: Frivolous emoticon question

I'm not an emoticon type person so when I get just an emoticon as an answer to an email I'm lost. I got this:
“) I googled emoticons but couldn't find it listed. So, anyone know what this one means?

I'm gonna guess a typo.
substitute the first character by moving one key to the left on your keyboard.

Well, she sprinkles her emails with emoticons so I would think she has it right but it could be a typo. Well, maybe I should come into the 20th century let alone the 21st...

I would say people that are emotional or write emotional emails...like Neocons....they add "con" to many words now days
