Without judging anyone, I am amazed that once again it appears that a very famous person thought he could pull off an affair without anyone finding out.

While this would normally be a private matter, we are not just talking about an anonymous person, we are talking about an athlete trying to sell a brand worth multi millions. In this case, the Tiger Woods brand is under scrutiny. The people at Amex, Accenture, Tag Heur, Nike that are paying him millions to promote their product probably don't consider this a private matter.

I am not making a morality judgement here but it looks like he was very reckless with these matters. To ask for privacy now from the media is like asking water not to be wet. If you are going to run around with a person making a waitress's wages, she is probably goijng to sell you out to the first tabloid that pays out thousands and that is chump change to Tiger.

A-rod was married and ran around then got an expensive divorce.

Other than that, I agree, I don't know why these guys bother to get married. The tax break can't be the same cost as a divorce of you know you are the type to need constant variety.

I liked that better, too, but that's not where we are now nor will it ever be that way again. If some of us oldsters can comprehend that and adjust our behavior accordingly, then somebody like Tiger Woods should be able to figure it out, too. Frankly I have absolutely no sympathy for him nor for any other high profile individual who makes bad decisions. I do, of course, feel badly for his family.
