that's what i said a couple of days and threads ago. I CAN'T BELIEVE APPLE WENT WITH THIS!!! I don't know. Notepad, scratch pad, landing pad, yadda yadda. I don't think that particular association is all that strong (or very strong at all, really) in the mind of the general public.

There will probably be some small amount of internet traction, it's a cheap snark and that's the meat and potatoes of the internet, but I very much doubt it will go anywhere.

Actually, when you consider the cost of printed textbooks, the conversion to iPads could actually be sold to a school district as a cost SAVINGS measure.
