weird... I just got some spam in Skype

I close the main Skype window but didn't quit the Application. and I just got some spam form a user I don't know. It never happened before.

I've been enrolled in Skype for two weeks and have had at least two "invitations" from people I neither know, nor have any interest in knowing.

Set your Skype prefs to only accept calls/messages from people in your Contact List. That'll stop it.
