Anyone watching "Game of Thrones"?

I was just looking at Metacritic and it's got a 79 out of 100, that's not bad. Might be worth catching up on.

Yes, just watched the first two episodes last night. Very well done! The first episode was a bit slow, but mostly because they needed to do character development. The 2nd episode was definitely better, and made me want to watch more, but it was late and I needed to hit the sack. Maybe two more tonight. I think the 5th episode just aired.

I'm watching it and really liking it. Interesting characters and story that gets better as it goes along. I really like the lighting used throughout the filming and the computer generated scenes are pretty good. It looks great in HD. There is male and female nudity and some very risqué scenes so I wouldn't advise letting children watch.

Nothing compared to Spartacus.

I'm reading the book currently. I'd love to watch the shows, but HBO stubbornly refuses to make them available via any avenue except through a subscription to HBO on cable TV. I don't even have a TV, so that isn't even an option. They need to get off of their crumbling, antiquated high-horse and move into the 21st century.

I agree. And this would definitely get an R rating if it were a film for the nudity, sex, language, and bloody gore (beheadings and such). Thanks HBO, this is my kinda TV!

I may not be current with the numbers, but not long ago, and maybe even today, riding their crumbling, antiquated high-horse made them the biggest producer in Hollywood. I'm not sure why they would want to change that.

As the one true success pay-tv option, I would not hold your breath. The HBO model is special. It is the only channel I am willing to pay extra for. The sale of dvd/bluray disks of the seasons is extremely profitable.

As other have said. Bittorent

I think that there aren't as many gory killings (so far) but the sex scenes are more graphic. There's a scene from the latest episode that takes place in the palace of Lysa Arryn that, while not sexual in nature, is somewhat shocking for it's graphic scene and what it implies. ( no spoilers)
