Regardless of your politics... hope for the best for Jimmy Carter
#1
Retired President Jimmy Carter rushed to hospital here in Cleveland after falling ill on the flight here

He was taken to the only Level I trauma center in the area. Not a good sign. Been there myself.... they have awesome ER docs- those guys saved my life after I had flatlined 3x.

Nice to hear. He was recently on what, the Daily Show? He looked just fine, and I remember thinking that he seemed to be in pretty good health for his age.

Yes, good to hear too. I assume they took him to the Trauma Center because of his age and perhaps his status. I wonder if there is a "President Code" that stipulates the best ER in the area... probably yes.

Status. Whenever someone like him travels the local authorities have a plan worked out in advance, with an identified base of response/command center and care plan for each stop, visit, and leg of a journey.
