So what's the latest on the data plans? Any news on changing them up? We don't have one on our phones but were thinking of upgrading now before any plan changes happen because of the release.

Im guessing not -- otherwise it would be done in Cupertino.

I am not sure it will affect AT&T folks. We are on the unlimited plan yet we don't use it that heavily so the base plan is ok for us. Most of our use is phone based with a little texting.
I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ready for an iPhone with Verizon. Today alone, I had 3 calls go straight to voice mail without the phone ringing, even though I have at minimum 4 bars in my house.

Me, too. I honestly don't understand why not. They would sell billions of them and we could all have one!

Rumors are that Verizon will stop the "unlimited" data when they do the iPhone, but will grandfather it if you already have "unlimited" data.
This timeline goes along with AppleStore employees not getting vacations late this month, and early February.

This may also-maybe coincide with the announcement of the new iPad2 available on Verizon, but that would cause a rush for people to return their new iPad christmas presents, so, maybe later. The last week of Jan, and the first week of Feb would be late enough to keep returns to a minimum. Hmmm-the more I talk to myself about this, the more I realize, Apple would wait til after the Verizon melee, to do the iPad2 since the stores will be swamped.
Hmmm, timing may lead to a Verizon/iPhone SuperBowl ad?
