There's an old canard that Democrats have no heart for military solutions and it is plain that a few people here believe it.

Why, here's the old canard now!

[quote=kj]The only part of your post I understand is the last.

My friend kj, you can't understand the first part of my post yet you are capable of creating this bit of prose???:

kj wrote: Let me finish the thought then. Why is his approval rating going up with Republicans? Because killing OBL was a very republican thing to do. As was scrapping single payer health insurance, extending Bush's tax cuts to the rich, etc. Bush lite, as others have said. The only way you could be happy with him is if you are a republican, or only care that he's a democrat. kj.

kj wrote: I didn't vote at all because they all suck. Yes. They do. kj.

I know how you feel. There have been past elections during which I felt there weren't any really good choices.

kj wrote: I think I'm actually saying he's gone a bit to the right of middle. kj.

Though it seems you're saying he's gone almost completely to the right .

kj wrote: At any rate, I didn't have much to do today, and I completely wasted half of it. Hopefully I'll do better tomorrow. Thanks for the reality check. kj.

LOL...so that explains it. Kudos to you for hanging in there! BTW, some of the best writing I have done was while I was 'under the influence'.
Complete and utter waste of time trying to have a meaningful discussion. I guess I need a booster shot every once in a while to remind me. kj.

Oh come on kj, don't give up on this place so easily (actually you had put in some serious time here today). But look man, you wrote what you had to write, people responded, you responded, just because you couldn't seem to get your point across doesn't mean it isn't worth it...

I suppose one of the few successful military interventions in the past few decades (Kosovo) was a Republican production.

For years the right-wing Republican mantra was borrowed from a WWII slogan;"all politics stop at the oceans edge". It was an obvious attempt to damper criticism of the incompetence they demonstrated when in total control of all mechanisms of government.

Now that they are the (dis)loyal opposition it no longer seems to apply and they're not the least bit embarrassed about their 180° turn.

No doubt. I watched over what's probably been years as you responded to most of Dakota's threads, lovingly helping him through his trials, until you decided the only way to teach him was to be an ass. Someday, if you keep it up, he's going to change. Maybe one day I could hope to do something that significant. kj.

Kj, like Dak, you can't deal with the fact that Obama is popular, so you make up reasons to like him, and then go as far as claiming him as your own to the exclusion of others.

If Obama is popular it is because he didn't listen to whack job supporters like you. The only way a liberal Democrat can get elected in this country is to lie to his base and then run to the right. Not to worry. The hacks fall right in line.

For you Dak:

Don't worry, you've already achieved your goal of being an 'ass'. I hope that's the alcohol talking for you. I've never took the negative tone with Dakota until he did so with me (and that is the pattern he established with every poster here that's tried to be nice to him)...repeatedly (or did you miss that during your 'observations'? You should take note, not even the great Dakota achieved troll status in one day like you did (as noted by others) today.

Is that why you folks kept your mouths shot for 8 years because the country was at war in Iraq and Afghanistan? There was practically a death clock counting down when the killed goes over 4000.

I'm sure it didn't have anything to do with the questionable nature of the Iraq war.

And don't try to lump Afghanistan into it, that was accepted as being legitimate by most everyone.
