I like the forum the way it is.
I will say, tho, that I almost did not click on this thread because the title did not sound like it was going to be about tips and deals...!

You know what really grinds MY gears: people who post "here" as if every other forum member knows where "here" is.
Sure there are forum members whose whereabouts I remember, and some people have their locations in their sigs, but "here" and "there" are relative terms, and I would appreciate it if people took the time to say what city they are in when making posts about some geographical location. Examples: Bad: The weather is really lousy here today. I thought winter was over. Better: The weather is really great in Pawtucket today. Finally some sunshine. Great: The weather is really great here today. Finally some sunshine. BTW, I'm in Springfield (New Jersey).

Sorry. Here for me is Japan, northwest of Rudie. I was talking to him more than anyone else.

I don't like the two forum concept that much. I prefer just one unregulated forum.

I hung around the old place for a couple years after the Sundering. One day I managed to find my way back here and was so happy to see the spirit and flavor of the old DM forum still alive. I find the two-forum style to be largely an improvement; the grumpiness that can develop in political threads stays there, and does not poison the routine discussions on this side. And I enjoy the mix of Mac and Other threads. Sometimes it gets esoteric, but I'll put up with that, rather than the "MARK IT OT!!" and "STF!" sniping that cropped up at DM in the old days.

One person's pollution = another person's ambrosia. Let's all have some more pollution, please. (
