Scary, scary, scary. I am glad you are OK and the prognosis is good. One of my best friends had a terrifying episode at work- she wasn't feeling well so she went to the ladies room and couldn't lift her arm to open the door. Someone helped her inside and she blacked out like you did.
Turned out she had a very large, very, very, very slowly growing completely benign meningioma. It was successfully removed, her recovery was smooth and she is 100% back to normal. Picked up long distance bike riding over the summer and traveling with me to Italy next month.
I wish a similar outcome for you and am sending good thoughts your way-

I never say this, because I don't want to sound like one of "those" people, but I'm going to pray that all goes well, and that there's no long-term problem.
But I'll also "beam" energy at you, too, and pray with fingers crossed to cover the secular side of things, too.
Keep us posted!

Glad the prognosis is good, but sorry to hear that you have this problem. A friend's brother had a brain tumor removed, or destroyed, with the focused radiation treatment. Everything went well, and now several years later he is still doing just great.
Please keep us posted and I hope you have a full and fast recovery.

I think the nothing you're going to be doing will be the hardest part by far, and it is really important that you do it and do it well. I don't really know if prayers help, but I know for sure they don't hurt, so you're in my prayers.

friend of mind had a much more invasive surgery and is back to being the pain in the ass he always has been.
other than us missing a few days of your sarcastic wit, I'm sure you'll be fine. not saying anything on the PITA part, though.

When I was in technical college, a girl in my class came back from a trip to India.
A couple of weeks later she blacked out and went into a coma.
In hospital they found a growth in her brain the size of a baseball.
Apparently it was from cerebral malaria or something similar.
They cut the growth out.
After the surgery she came out of the coma and within a couple of weeks was 100% fine and normal.
Her hair grew back and you could never tell any of it had ever happened.
Good luck with the surgery.
They seem pretty good with this stuff now, I'm sure you will be fine.

Yikes Mike!
Have 'em put it in a jar for you after they pull that thing out and do the biopsy.
