If you are a fan of the action/comic genre, you will be entertained. Love that Stan Lee makes cameos in all of these movies.

Sahem he had no cameo in the latest X-Men.

As for Thor, it wasnt bad. It was entertaining, but I was disappointed towards the end.
I think that's something to do with the fact that Marvel films doesn't own the x-men or something. Fox does.

Better than I expected it to be--but I expected it to be completely awful, so take that with a grain of salt.

It's fundamentally deeply silly, of course, and it still bugs me that Hollywood rewrote Odin, God of War, who spends eternity harvesting the souls of dead warriors for his personal Raganarok-fighting army, as obsessed with "keeping the peace," but that's a quibble. Fun popcorn movie, and rather well-acted for the genre.

:-) This is the point in the thread where an old guy says, "The (comic) book was much better!" Then proceeds to delve into obscure Norse mythology :oldfogey:

Pinkoos,

Definitely worth seeing. Is it a great movie? Nopes. Was it as good as Captain America? No. But, Thor was good stupid fun. If you look at it that way, then it's worth watching and won't disappoint.

Nah.

Wrong origin story, the plot is weak and predictable and the "action" is boring.

I haven't seen it, two of friends thought it was pretty good.

I may just check it out. Thanks for the replies.

when the bar has been lowered, it doesn't take much for an average movie to be deemed "fun" or "watchable."

Popcorn movie - which isn't a bad review.
Found it entertaining and fun - but that's what I was looking for when I went to the theatre.
