Don't unless you want to see some of the most gruesome photos taken on 9/11/01,
I wish she hadn't clicked on it.

I did, after you posted it.

I promised to never forget. And to me that means more than remembering that some event happened on a certain day. It means remembering and reliving the pain and the fear and the heroism that happened. Pictures help me remember. It's easy to say that 3,000 people were killed that day. It's a number, it's numb. Seeing just one person jump from the tower? Vastly more powerful.

Actually, quite a bit of empty land in Japan. The problem is that nearly everyone is crowded into a few massive urban areas. The earthquake/tsunami zone is rural. I'm not sure what they are doing with the debris up there, need to find out. I was here in Kobe area for the great Kobe earthquake. They hauled most of the debris to sites near the water and burned it. The fires burned for months. The rest I assume was used for landfill. We have lots of artificial islands in the port areas.
