Which capacity iPhone 4S would you get?

I currently have the 3GS 32. I am trying to decide if the extra $100 is worth it to go for the 64 GB. How many movies and songs do I really need to have with me?

None, unless you are somehow making money off having those resources available to you at all time. The whole thing is just a luxury really, albeit a very worthwhile luxury to those who can afford it. I have a hard time justifying a smart phone at all in the first place, even though it would not be a hardship to pay for it.

I have about 45gb of music (all purchased legally by me, thank you). I'm obviously a music nut and I've been going insane (not in a great way) the past 3 years with only 8gb on my Original. So for me, the 64 will be just the ticket for the next four years of my iPhone goodness. To each his own...

You can NOT add extra capacity later. Max it at the beginning; you'll be locked in for two years. :oldfogey:

How much will you use the camera for Photos and Video?

I voted 64 but I think my client is going with 32s across the board, which is what my 3GS is, and I've only got that at about 60% typically. (My iTunes library is over 100GB, so even the 64 wouldn't equal a full library transport.)

I bought the 32 gb iPhone 4 and haven't come close to filling it. With the new iCloud, the need for storage space is going to get even less. There's absolutely no reason to carry around your entire music and video library on the iPhone...just carry around the playlists that you enjoy most and mix it up every now and then. It's the packrat mentality that makes people "need" to carry their entire library everywhere.

With the iCloud, capacity demands can be lessened, but data speed and caps should be considered.

Agree 110%. That's another reason to get the 64. And I do plan to use mine for a lot of video and photos as well. I also limit my photos on my phone now due to the 8gb ceiling.

As for "packrat mentality"...hey, we're all different, davester. No need to namecall. Sheesh.
