Safe to run Win XP after M$ pulls plug next year?
#1
or move to Win 7 until M$ pulls that plug?

or bite bullet and spring for Win 8 box for necessary windoze tasks?

if running XP, will 3rd party security software be sufficient?

Win7 is the sweetspot currently. XP is EoL. Win8 is DoA.

We have been running one Windows 7 machine, much less of a pain than Vista. With how bad Windows 8 is, I wouldn't be surprised if they made XP go another few years.

Having your appendix out without anesthesia would be less painful than VISTA! That OS was something else.

While Vista was clunky, it made much more sense than Windows 8.

It should be as "safe" as it ever was.......8-)

I expect you'd have LOTS of company should you decide to keep XP limping along.
