fiber glass itch
#1
I removed an old lamp in a closet and the insulation was probably fiberglass, because now I have this itch on my hands.

found this, but it's not that bad so I might just ride it out

What he's sayin' is... if you get fiberglass embedded in your dangly reproductive bits, you're gonna wonder if castration might be less painful...

Don't touch until you get it out of the skin on your hands.

smear on Elmer's Glue. When it dries, peel it off. It will pull out most of the glass strands. I did LOTS of fiberglass work when I was in the Sea Scouts. Also works with the fibers from bamboo.

My partner is allergic to grass, and she was clearing out a huge swath of bamboo in our yard several years ago. Her forearms swelled up like Popeye, and the itching was driving her insane. Then she remembered that bamboo is technically a grass. Bummer. Tried the Elmers and it took care of about 70% of it. The rest took a long time. Lots of cortisone slathered on, and benadryl every 4 hours, on top of her regular allegra.

My brother in law worked at a fiberglass plant. They used this a lot, white vinegar.

True story: many years ago (like maybe mid '60s) my mother accidentially washed some underwear along with fiberglass curtains. The result was as bad as you might imagine.
