Long since gone, except for a few tchotchkes at my parents' house and some pretty brass bookends I've got boxed in storage somewhere.

My favorite was all of the kids in my family's names in giant milk chocolate letters. Got that one every year for many years from a beloved folk music star. When he died, we still got chocolate from his estate for a few years, but they only sent us our last name in giant milk chocolate letters. (It was a bit harder to split amicably.)

While I am not a fan of these Kardashian folks, I have to admit that I am impressed by their ability to make money off basically nothing. I flipped through the channels once and watched 5 minutes of their show to see what was going on. I still have no idea why they can make so much money.

I'm not encouraging you to post anything to defend your statement, but in this day and age of the Internet and the material that is freely available, I cannot imagine ANY photo - no matter how pretty or proactive the subject - deserves to be worth $5 million a year in royalties.

What's amazing to me is the view that this family is entertainment. But then again, I don't understand tabloids.
