Wife health update
#1
Some of you may know the history of my wife. She was diagnosed with hodgekin's lymphoma a little over 10 years ago when we found a tumor the size of a football in her chest. It had compressed one of her lungs and pushed her heart over some. She got chemo, a bone marrow transplant and then radiation. Since then she has had to fight this horrible disease 5 more times as relapses come up every year or so in various parts of her body. Well, on Friday, we found out that her cancer is back again. This time it is in three different places (neck, chest and groin). We are going over treatment options now. She has taken in so much chemo over the years that her body has stopped responding. Now looking at some other options with her oncologist.

This will be her 7th time to fight cancer in all. She is tired. Not really sure if she has another fight in her at this point. I'm really not trying to sound like I'm having a pity party, but some of the folks on this forum have been there through most of this ride. I felt like I needed to let them know.

Prayers are appreciated. Thanks.

Hey Mark. I've been through a lot of similar territory. All I can say at the moment is that my prayers are with you and your wife. Do your best to support her in the moment. The future is unknown and not totally in your control, but you can have a large say over the here and now in as far as your attitude toward it. Celebrate the fact that you are together and going through it together. Feel free to PM if you would like.

Prayers offered. I have a very good friend who is a miracle after fighting cancer and complications for more than a decade. She is one big scar at this point but she's doing better now than she has since she was 20. Keep up the hope and be strong. Ask for help and ACCEPT it.
