The Cats Aren't Eating

A change in eating or drinking habit can be a sign of dying.
Whether a shared illness between them or they've gotten into something only a vet is going to be able to to a valid blood test/exam.
You could wait until they start having death seizures if you really want proof of dying.

Hope they're just under the weather and not feeling well but it sure would be nice to know why.

I don't see any new report this morning, mrlynn.

How are cats doing? I know that everyone is saying,"take them to the vet," but I wonder if it's a money issue?

My neighbor, who has had as many as four cats at one time, ended up selling her car in order to pay a vet's cost. One of her cats was mauled by another neigbor's dog. The bill was horrendous, but they did save the kitty.

I wish that I was in a financial place to offer to help out, but money is very tight for me.

Perhaps, some of the other members who have encouraged you to take them to the vet, might offer to chip in. If that's the problem, of course.

Onamuji is absolutely right - a few days of not eating means certain death for cats. Please have them checked out.

Take the older one in first. Also check their gums to see if they are pink. If not, rush them to vet.

Well, they both ate few bites of wet cat food this morning. And the older one, Liza, played with her ball-in-a-track for a minute. Their gums look OK. We'll see. . .

Hey, that's a good sign. Are they drinking and using their litter box ? And is their pee significantly stinkier then usual ? Those are signs of their bodies trying to rid themselves of toxins.

Poor fur babies ! I hope they recover quickly !
