Does the Apple Store Take Walk-ins?

son broke his iPhone 6s+. probably needs a complete OOW replacement. earliest apple store appointment is wednesday. can he just show up and wait to be seen?

You might be better off calling (not the store, call Apple). They will return the call. You can plead your case. They can generally make an appointment that's much earlier than the online system will show you. You could give it a try. Otherwise, while each store varies, they never take walk-ups at the Apple Stores around here. They will check and see if another store has earlier appointment openings, but they don't have a walk-up list.

My store suggests that in this circumstance, being there when the doors open is your best bet. Things are quiet early and often can be taken care of right away.

Yes...I've done walk-ins several times, most of the time being seen within 30 minutes. If it's obviously just going to be a swap without troubleshooting required, it should be quick.

The two stores I have been to take walk-ins but be prepared to wait. When my phone was being worked on, they out a guy into the system but they told him the wait would be an hour or sooner of someone canceled or didn't show up for an appointment.

Apple chat suggested a walkin after they couldn't find an appointment for me. They suggested I go in early.

You can keep pinging the appointment schedule--there are occasional cancelations.
