Still rocking after all these years
#1
Came across my iPod mini and charged it up. Still working perfectly. Did a battery replacement and CompactFlash card swap in it some years ago. Love the feel of it my hand.

I've got one of those with a very weak battery. I've though about replacing the battery (and maybe the drive while we're in there), but it would be just for the exercise as we have no real need for it now.

My husband still loves his and uses it daily. The battery isn't great but it gets the job done. My mom's parrot also had one, for, hopefully, learning to talk. I want to try to use my iTouch more, it's just so slow for non music purposes.

We took out our Classic 4th gen 120 gb last month after we ran across the original box in the basement. I charged it up and it showed a full battery, but 30 min later it showed empty although it kept playing for another 15 min when I shut it off. I reset it and my wife sold it on eBay last week with the 30 min battery disclosure. Now I have 2 Shuffles that we haven't used in years. I'll probably drop those off at Goodwill since I can only find 1 dock charger.

First generation iPod Mini going strong providing full-time music in our older car (2011).

Fifth generation iPod going strong providing full-time music in our newer car (2016), with full control/display via the car's own onboard screen system, which was an unanticipated capability.

My fourth-gen 60 GB iPod Classic currently serves as my in-vehicle music server.
