should i update my old phone to 13 if im getting a new phone tomorrow

I know most of you aren’t thrilled with the new iPhone but I’m excited for the camera! My phone is coming tomorrow so should I update the old phone prior to synching the new?

If you ordered an iPhone 11 it will come with iOS 13.

I think we all like the new phones... but you said XS Max -- did you mean 11 Pro Max?

Maybe. Maybe not. Doubt if it matters. Nothing really to lose by doing it.

Upgrading to a new phone with the old one still in hand is childs play. Follow a few simple steps at the beginning -- you dont even need your wifi password -- point the new one at the old... and take a coffee break.

Done.

You can setup face stuff after the transfer.

I think it depends on how you migrating data to your new phone.
I had to jump through extra hoops when I migrated my wife's data to here new phone when the iOS's didn't match. Although I think the old phone had a newer iOS than the new phone shipped with...
