Do you have a "forum buddy"?

I'm sure OWC Larry met many of us at their MacWorld Booth over the years.

It seems that most prefer to be keyboard friends, That is you are familiar with the nickname, the general location of residence and personality, and that's where the line is drawn. Doesn't seem as though there is much want for face to face, having a coffee or adult beverage, etc.

I can't speak for everyone but in my case a big part of that is that I have either never heard of or have little if anything in common with the few forum members who live within driving distance of me.

I have met with at least a dozen people but most of them were as members of the other earlier place. I have bought and sold items with a few more, so it is possible that someone could track me down if I stopped posting for some reason. None are currently people that I converse with frequently outside of the forum.

Some of us even went drinking with him after the show.

I don't think there's a ton of us in New England, but I'd definitely like to meet ... I think I've only met Catzilla.

Not me. I shared my IRL persona with folks during the mini-Leader project and had several dealings with Spearmint and a few others, but otherwise I'm the guy in back lurker. Just barely here and not missed when gone.

A few know my email address. My wife and my sister know my login here... I share stuff with them on occasion.

A little difficult to meet up with other forum members being the token Brit here. Having said that just over 11 years ago I did see JJ and his wife when I did a charity walk. I believe he was posted over here for a while.
