Anyone have a web cam they want to sell? Is there a way to make an iSight work?

You can get a Wyze cam and flash the firmware to make it into a webcam. I'm not sure what Amazon's lead times are. I've been getting everything in 3-4 days, even though it says April 20.

if you dare to venture out of the house, you may find this at Home Depot

Make sure your lighting is nice and even. Best of luck.

Yep. I need to work on that. I know the visual quality will make a big difference.

Check the HD app first and see if it is in stock.
If it is order online for pick up and it should be in a locker at the front of the store, or ask for curbside delivery.
Less contact for everyone, if you make sure it is there first.

I'm rocking a Pyro WebCam, vintage 2001. Quite sure I bought it via DealMac for much less than the $100 street price mentioned in a March 2001 review.

I nearly threw it out two months ago. Can't remember why I hesitated. I bought it to videochat with my parents soon after the birth of our daughter, who is now a college sophomore. Used it, at most, twice. It has a FireWire interface, which is quite rare for a videocam but that to my surprise was plug-n-play with my love/hate Hackintosh on 10.14.6.

The manual, which I found online, helpfully reminds the user that "A modem is required for the application of videoconference and videomail software."

The second one wouldn't work at all. The first, maybe? Probably not. I'll need the camera to be recognized as an input device on my Mac so video conferencing software will see it.
