It tickles a memory but I can't seem to pull it up, sort of a reflex and sort of a spasm. Cascade is wrong too. The bad news is it was related to a brain/nerve issue.

I think it's brain>nerve>muscle. I'm going to ask the doctor for an EEG.

Lysine can help with healing of the mouth wound.

I wonder if magnesium or calcium could be involved.

Might also help if you wore a bite guard at night. You're likely to crack some teeth if you're not careful. It might be caused by an involuntary muscle spasm, so it probably feels like a spring-loaded trap.

It only does it while I'm chewing. The spring-loaded trap describes it. I'm looking into low calcium and its relation to muscle spasms.

I tell you once.
I tell you plain.
What you have done,
you'll do again.
You'll bite your cheek,
careful or not,
upon the already bitten spot.

Do you take any meds? My clinic has a doctor who sits down with you and reviews all of your meds, talks about side effects and interactions, etc. Good luck with that - it sounds irritating.

Several, but I keep tabs on side-effects and two doctors were stumped.
