First trip to McDonald's in quite a while.

This is the only way I eat fast food these days, and it's not that often, usually on a road trip.

As best I can tell you were surprised that disappointment hit before your order was complete.

I hit McDonald’s for breakfast whenever we travel. I’m a sucker for the sausage McMuffin w/egg. Otherwise, I avoid McDonald’s like the plague. This week has been a Burger King week with two trips for Whoppers, again, only when on the road. Guilty pleasures and reasonably cheap.

The $1 menu still exists, albeit now $1/$2/$3. McDouble and a Large Cup of Diabeetus for $3 plus tax today was lunch. 690 calories.

Chicken nuggets are WAY cheaper at Burger King than McDonalds

I prefer BK to McD's as well, but my wife DETESTS BK. So I get it when I'm alone!

We never get fast food, and I have literally never had KFC, but we tried it yesterday because they had Beyond nuggets, and we are always curious. They were $10 for 6 pieces. Pretty good - felt like lead in the stomach, and I could certainly fry some Quorn nuggets at home (I haven’t tried the Impossible ones yet, but Quorn is super). I was expecting more heavy duty spices.

I prefer to just fast than eat fast food.

How big is a cup of "senior coffee' ? I keep forgetting I've been eligible for that for years. Then I look in the mirror....
