I usually tip $5 at drop off and $5 at pickup. With tipping inflation maybe I’m low? What do you guys do?

Wow. But, then again, I only use valet when I'm forced to (having watched a valet "crash" my car in front of me). I'm still doing a couple of bucks on pick-up. I've never tipped at drop-off (didn't even know that was a thing). But, I guess if you have a fancy car and hope it gets you a little extra care, go for it.

I've never used valet parking, and it's not because of the Seinfeld episode. No idea what to tip, but unless it's an extra fancy place and one feels flush, I'd think $5 is fine whether each or both ends of the transaction. There were two guys I knew who tipped on drop off because they were concerned about parking close to other vehicles. Their vehicles also had a valet mode. There apparently was no evidence the valets were varlets and took umbrage to it's use.

$2 in a parking garage.
$5 for restaurant-parking.

We rarely go to a restaurant that has valet, but when we do, $2-3 when they retrieve the car.

What kind of hellscape are you living in?

Sounds like I’m still ok with $5.
