absolutely none of that is legally relevant. it's all feelings and emotions, which makes for terrible laws.
Sounds like you have been looking in a mirror. Your statement applies to almost everything you post, your feelings and emotions on the subject validated by carefully cherrypicked legal opinions that are biased in the direction you desire. There are many that disagree with those legal opinions. Just the current state of affairs is benefitting from a long term strategy to pack the courts. Enjoy it while you can, the rest of society is headed the other direction.
29 states with Constitutional Carry indicate otherwise. The movement is very recent too.
Not really, the beginnings of it date back at least to the '70s It went along with the whole push for the individual right to own weapons with minimal regulation. The movement was slowed for a bit in the wake of the assassination attempt on Reagan, but never really stopped. The groundwork was being put in all those decades ago.

13 of those 29 have happened since Biden was elected. And they all occurred in the past 5 decades. Thats 5 out of 23 decades, sounds recent, not "all those decades ago"
Much like someone here who characterized 99.5% as "some"

"The movement" is a scam by arms manufacturers and sellers to keep their profits up by gaslighting gunners.
You've been had Smote.
There is nothing emotional or touchy feely about plummeting gun sales. It's a cold reality. I personally love it and will continue working hard to restore sanity to gun selling and ownership in America.

I love the 'unconstitutional' yammering. When firearm restrictions were clearly laid out in local laws all over the country before the NRA got bought out.. nobody complained except for a few idiots.

And if you and the news reporters actually knew your subject, you would know that as of Jan 1, 2024, Washington State Patrol took over doing all background checks, and now, multiple firearms can be covered by the same background check. So number of CHECKS are down, but sales aren't. :emoticon-tv-015:

amazing how many so called "Americans" scream to give up their freedoms.
After all, Freedom of speech only applies to written and spoken communications, right?
Bottom line if you are afraid of criminals with guns, don't buy illegal drugs, don't join gangs. Avoiding these activities means your chances of getting shot are less than a majority of countries around the world. Moving away from gang run, drug infected areas leaves the parts of America that are extremely safe from gun violence
In 2023, new gun sales in the USA was 15.9 million, down from 16.35 million in 2022.
New firearms manufactured for retail is the only accurate figures since individual gun sales are not tracked
Then how many buyers just go to gun shows where they don't need background checks, or even ID to buy a gun. Requiring ID to buy a gun is racist, right? LOL

Yup, I’m willing to give up my rights to large capacity magazines and other military-style weaponry that you guys seem to get a hard-on over. (BTW, are they critical in “home defense”? Why? Can’t you guys hit a target with all your practice?)

No idea what you’re trying to say here, but the law has long recognized there are reasonable limits on freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, and so on. Only gunners (and the nonsensical precedence-free decrees of Thomas et al) insist the 2nd amendment cannot be subject to similar reasonable limits (…except when they so decree- like no guns in Supreme Court chambers.)

False (and data-free).

So why do you pack heat? Maybe you should move.

Well, due to corrupt-NRA-pushed limits on collecting data and gun registration, nobody really knows, but we see the tragic results pretty clearly:
68,000 guns illegally trafficked by U.S. dealers over 5 years were used in hundreds of shootings, ATF says

All the "Spray & Pray" people who can't hit the broadside of a barn are celebrating.
"I heard a noise, so I stepped out in the hallway and started blasting. After I exhausted my 30 round mag, my wife, kids & pets were all dead and there was no sign of an intruder. But I feel much safer and self-reported the incident as another life saved by the beneficence of firearms."

Oh, good morning Smote.
Your comment about gun sales measurement is inaccurate.
Here is the full article, not behind a paywall. It goes into detail about how gun sales are measured, state to state and nationally. This is not a perfect way to measure but the trends tell the story.
It also goes into detail on how Washington changed it's CBC system, a model for the entire country, and not accurately represented in your comment.

Nationwide, gun sales are down 11%. Crime is also down from the Trump/pandemic years, so combined with better gun responsibility laws and better enf orcement in many places, maybe we are finally on the right track.
After 30 years in gun control advocacy, 20 of them in Washington, I'm very glad to see that Washington is among the 10 best states for common sense, responsible management of gun ownership.

When you say "military style", do you mean black?
But if you want to discuss firearms ideal for home defense, rifles, shotguns and large handguns all are ideal in different homes.Small caliber rifles, like the typical AR-15 are far more accurate than hand guns.

Except that military grade weapons and automatic weapons are highly restricted. Require special licensing to possess legally

Why? I have worked hard, made smart choices and grew up in a stable, 2 parent home. The results are my family being financially stable, able to comfortably afford to live in a nice, safe, upscale town, drive luxury cars, fly 1st class for vacations and even purchase high quality firearms for both recreation and personal protection

protecting the rights of law abiding Americans should be everyones goal
68,000 guns illegally trafficked by U.S. dealers over 5 years were used in hundreds of shootings, ATF says
13,600 illegal transfers out of over 20,000,000, a fraction of a percent, IF the 68,000 in 5 years is accurate, citation please?
