Maybe there will be a mass defection during the 7th inning stretch.

There were some real superstars on the US Team but a lot of lesser quality too. For the US this was a break from spring training and they played that way. Japan and Cuba were no suprise but Korea was an eye opener. We got to get some scouts over there.

Ever since we got a panini press, we've been on a big-time Cuban sandwich kick. The roast pork part is a bit tricky, as pre-packaged roast pork is hard to come by and usually less than satisfactory. We're cooking our own pork with various spices and marinades, coming up with the right balance. It's worth the effort, though - thems are good sammiches.
I think even most non-sports fans know that Cuba kicks butt at baseball (and that Brazil kicks butt at soccer)...
As for Korea: is Hee Sop Choi on their team? That was a guy who was pretty hyped for his ability to take a walk and hit some HR, but the guy really hasn't delivered the goods. Other than Chan Ho Park and a couple of relief pitchers, I haven't seen Koreans make much of an impact in MLB.

Cuba is doomed.
They are only one letter from being the Cubs.

I've never understood why the call it the World Series when the US leagues won't allow non-US teams to play.
