THUNDERCATS, HO!: Tonight's official "Lost" thread (SPOILERS!!!)
#31
Oh yeah, and the other thing -- the theory has gone that, once you've resolved or worked through your "issues" on the island, and are therefore no longer "lost", you can then die (remember Shannon?) ... I wondered if the bit about Ana Lucia coming to the conclusion that she couldn't shoot Henry was something along the same lines... she had finally sort of resolved some of her issues. Libby though-- that seemed to come out of nowhere...

I heard someplace that Libby has signed on to do another show nut I am not sure if she wanted off of Lost to do that show or if she is doing the other show because she knew she was going to be axed.

FWIW- I still don't trust her and think she is an "other".

As for Ana-Lucia, I think she might still be alive. The preview said "She's dead." Not "They're dead."

I knew something wasn't right with Michael but I never, ever expected that.

dmann, I dunno... it seemed like A-L was really dead, they showed her having that open-eyed, "dead" look. But I suppose it's possible... as for Libby, they showed her on the ground, but curiously-- no blood?

and Libby, I dunno, doubt she was an Other... she was in the hospital with Hurley, so you'd have to argue that she was an Other having come from outside.

We have no reason to believe that the others are confined to the island. I don't think they are all born and bred there and I am not convinced they are completely self-sustaining.

One of the key themes is the interconnectedness of each of the survivors- why couldn't the others be connected to them as well?

Yep, Libby isn't necessarily dead. She was holding the blankets in front of her and maybe something else.

DM, that's true enough. There had been fan speculation that the Others operated outside the island (for example, that Cindy, the stewardess, was one of the Others)... but we don't have any proof of it yet, and so far, nobody who has had a flashback or part of a flashback has been a known Other.

I see that Lostpedia is reporting both of them as being "presumably dead"... man, they're fast at updating that thing. I also noticed that they showed A-L's body in the preview for next week, so the chances are good that at least she is really dead.

I wished I still had my big 10' satellite dish. I used to get
shows days ahead of time on the upfeed. They may not do that
anymore, not sure.

This explains why the actors playing Anna & Libby were arrested for drunk driving recently.

WOW. What a crazy episode, we thought we knew all that was going on, I thought they would just go through the same routine with sawyer, get the guns and go off to fight, but this throws a whole big stick in the wheel.

So everyone on the plane it seems was trying to get away from something. I think this applies to everyone, correct me if I am wrong.

So at first I thought that the girl that A-L and 'Tom' went to go see that rainy morning was Claire, he said something about 'it being his daughter' and I was thinking about the baby that Claire wanted to give up. Didn't make much sense b/c the baby was unborn as of that point anyway.

'Tom' hitting Sawyer with the door was LOL-funny.

HAS ANYONE GOTTEN THROUGH TO THE 1-877-HANSORG number? This is getting just too serious, you wonder if it will go any further, you know, if this company is somehow real.

It seems like Jack was trying to come clean with Locke, it seemed like Michael was coming clean with everyone, but at the same time there was an increasingly complex web of deception being woven. If everyone would just tell each other everything, THE TRUTH, then probably nobody would have died on the island- EVER.
A-L playing these mind games and suffering the same fate, Locke trying to cover up what the prisoner did to her, not telling everyone about the map he saw that shows evidence of there being other hatches- all these lies contributed to the event that was Michael shooting 3 people, including himself.

We know one person is dead next week. I'm guessing A-L, because she seemed to have reached her peace (as it were). We saw how she stopped her downward fall before the plane and on the island, and how she wanted to go back to her mother. Not much left to resolve there.

I'm guessing Libby is alive, she sure looked dead but there was no blood, and there is a very real chance she had something inside/behind those blankets that could have saved her.

Michael is obviously alive, although why Hurley would say "i'm glad you're still alive" is confusing at best. Perhaps Libby does die and now Hurley can exact revenge upon a living Michael for killing her?

It appears that Mr Echo dies next week, falling from a cliff, although who knows at this point... craziness.
