How to turn off CAPS LOCK in OSX

Some cool information (and johnc comes up with the coolest stuff!) but I use the Caps Lock regularly.

I'd like to be able to double-tap (EASY, Paul F!) it to start, and single tap to disengage. Two consecutive taps to engage would go far to reducing the frustration.

Of course, if I spent more time with Mavis, a workaround might not be necessary.

The only thing I don't like about the caps lock key is that it can cause problems when you log on because the login is case sensitive.

The other day I was trying to do just that but the login box kept shaking it's head no. Finally I noticed a faint caps lock symbol on the login field, so I realized what was causing the problem.
