PC had the right time, macs didn't
#31
My guess was based on knowing Miss Sam all these years, that is her software is not up to date

I was the one that finally convinced her to give OSX a spin and I have mailer her
OS updates in the past in her pre DSL days when her dial up was too slow to get them
and got molasses cookies back in return (good trade) She even called and left me a message
on my answering machine so I know she is who she says she is.

My answer to her was based on my familiarity to her and her computer use
(no desktops - just notebooks) and knowing she is a "leave well enough alone" user
when it comes to software updates.

I don't understand why everyone get s their panties all twisted - she's a nice 70 something lady
and when I deal with her it's like dealing with my mom. How many mid 70 year olds do you know
that even own a computer - let alone several on two different platforms ?

The thing that irks me is nobody here ever seems to comment on Sam's "my mac does this so much better than my PC" posts -- and she DOES make posts like that. There seems to be a very selective memory at work here. Some Mac users just seem to desire the PC vs. Mac friction, when in fact it is pretty pointless.

I just hope I have some memory left, if I make it to my mid 70's

Ah, memory is cheap enough, just buy some more.
